The countdown to the chilly nights of children dressed in their spookiest outfits, going door-to-door and seeking candy, has begun. However, Halloween is not exclusive to the kids. It is also a time for adults to step away from their routines and experience life as someone else for a while. Unfortunately, not everyone can partake in the delightful Halloween celebrations like the British Royal family. They have never been seen dressing up for Halloween like they do for Easter and Christmas. However, there are two royals who did so. 

Halloween has a special significance for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Last year, the Sussexes revealed how they have a core memory attached to this day with their love story.  

Why is Halloween special for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry? 

The 2022 Netflix docuseries, Harry and Meghan, gave an in-depth exploration of the Sussexes’ relationship to their fans. In one of the episodes, the couple reflected on a beautiful memory of them celebrating Halloween with Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank. They attended an apocalypse-themed party in Toronto in 2016, which marked their last carefree night out. The Sussexes knew that their romance was going to break out soon, therefore they made sure to not let their final incognito night slip through their fingers. 

In the show, the Sussexes shared the six-year-old pictures of their lighthearted night out with their fans. The pictures featured the Sussexes in dark clothes and leather accessories, which fit perfectly with the spooky theme. Prince Harry went into detail about this night out in his contentious memoir, Spare, too. Although the autobiography chronicled the fairy tale love story of the Sussexes, it also had revelations that ruffled the feathers of the royals, including Kate Middleton. 

Owing to that, recent reports revealed how Kate Middleton has no plans to reconcile with Prince Harry after the “brutal attacks” he showered upon the royal family. 

Kate Middleton will not mediate between Prince Harry and Prince William 

It would be an understatement to say that Prince Harry and Markle do not get along with the royal family. For years, tabloids and critics have been capitalizing on their infamous feud, which just seems to be getting worse. Recently, Royal Commentator Jennie Bond did an exclusive interview with Fabulous, where she revealed that the Princess of Wales is “deeply hurt” by the public criticism of the royals in Spare. 

The source also shared that Middleton, who has been the peacemaker in the feud, does not intend to make amends between Prince Harry and Prince William anymore. Prince Harry’s decision to reveal everything about their differences in the book did not sit right with the 41-year-old. While Prince Harry and Meghan Markle plan to celebrate the 2023 Halloween, Kate Middleton and Prince William have made up their minds to carry on with the royal duties without the Sussexes.
