Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are undoubtedly having some sweet home moments in their sprawling mansion of Montecito in California. The 14 million dollars worth luxurious abode has bestowed the family of four with some of the greatest treasures of their life. Following their fairytale marriage in the year 2018, the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex took over the Frogmore Cottage as their personal residence among the senior royal. However, following the Megxit, the couple was stripped of numerous royal privileges. And the Frogmore eviction was one such. Earlier in the month of March, King Charles issued his plans for a slimmed-down monarchy.

The couple did not hide their emotions from bidding farewell to their first home together. The Netflix Bombshell that launched an attack on the royal family also had certainly bittersweet video clips of the couple reminiscing at their final moments in the cottage. 

Moments before the real Frogmore Cottage eviction 

Months after, the Duke and the Duchess have finally paid their debts and vacated the royal abode. However, we could very well understand what the couple must be going through based on their throwback video clips from the Netflix series, Harry & Meghan. The monochromatic clips carried us all the way through their final ordeals at Buckingham.

The couple rendered their official duties in affiliation with the Queen, following which they took their time to shift their belongings across the pool. 

While the couple packed up their possessions, stills from the series show them exchanging overwhelming glances as they vacate their home. The place also holds much significance to the couple, not only as a pair but also as parents, since this was where Prince Archie walked his first steps. As Prince Harry emotionally takes a look around their room, Meghan Markle reminisces about the precious moments and smiles to herself.

The farewell is now well and clear in the clips but it would seem that the couple only now have vacated the premises in all senses.

Are Prince Harry and Meghan Markle officially out?

Although the royal notice had been out for months, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were not officially out of the palace until now. Even after the infamous Megxit, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle kept touching bases with their place. For instance, last they celebrated Princess Lilibet’s birthday at the Gardens of Frogmore.

However, it was not until yesterday that the Keeper of Privy Purse, Sir Michael Stevens, made it public. The couple has served all their remnant dues to the “greatly enhanced asset” and is free from their debts. “We can confirm that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have vacated Frogmore Cottage. The Duke and Duchess have repaid the expenditure incurred by the Sovereign Grant in relation to the renovation of Frogmore Cottage,” he said.
