Sydney Sweeney entered the series as a guest playing the character of Erin Weaver. In the episode titled ‘Don’t Let’s Start’, Erin’s father Jeremy was diagnosed with cancer. Eventually, he got admitted to the hospital to undergo an esophagectomy but could not survive it and died in the process. So when the focus was on his family in the end, Erin was shown comforting her distraught mother weeping after the death of her father.

People who have not watched the drama would find this depiction of the youthful version of the actor interesting. Much like Millie Bobby Brown, she expressed everything without saying much in her small cameo. Moreover, this is not the only long-running show in which Sweeney starred in her teen years.

Criminal Minds is one of those shows that showcased the unwavering confidence of Sydney Sweeney. The 25-year-old had a minor role in season 5 when she was 12. In the eighth episode, she played the role of Dani Forester, who got killed along with her mother and brother. This heartbreaking scene showed Sweeney’s Dani being held at gunpoint by an intruder.

Fans saw that the killer targeted her family while her father went away because of military deployment. Though Sweeney had a small screen time, it indeed hinted at the willingness of the actor to take darker and tragic roles.
