The answer is, yes. However, Jennifer Aniston might not be the one pulling the strings in this connection. It was Aniston’s on and off-screen pal, Courteney Cox who was a part of the 2005 American sports comedy. In the film, Courteney Cox took on the role of Lena, the girlfriend of Paul Crewe. Although her character did not have a central role in the overall narrative, her few seconds of presence brought much-needed glamor to the movie. Who could erase the memory of her in that stunning pink dress?

In an interview during the promotion of Murder Mystery 2, the 57-year-old actor opened up about the Friends character he wanted to play.

The co-stars of Murder Mystery often find themselves sharing substantial screen time. Yet, it is their off-screen relationship that interests fans, especially given the regularity of their on-screen collaborations. Their hilarious jabs and fun interviews can make anyone’s day brighter. During a chat with Jake Hamilton back in April 2023, the host asked the duo about their dream project together. 

The 56-year-old quipped that he would not have minded being the monkey on Friends. After a lively chuckle, he clarified that he actually wanted to play Ross, but David Schwimmer clinched the role by being “nicer and taller”. Aniston playfully responded with, “just a tad bit taller”. Despite the banter, Sandler made it clear later that whatever he said was all in good fun.
