Walt Disney Marketing President Reacts to Freya Allan Starrer ‘Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes’ as It Reigns With 100 Million Trailer Views
After seven long years of hiatus, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is back for the big screen. The Caesar Trilogy had grossed an estimated $450M worldwide. The Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes focuses on the Ape’s dominion on Earth after the humans have been brought back to their primitives. It is supposed to pick up the pieces from War for the Planet of Apes. Slated for release on May 24, 2024, the trailer and teaser are already out crossing 100M views.

The upcoming American science fiction is a continual binge to the third installment of The Planet of the Apes series. As the humans regress to their feral state, the Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes traces its momentum. With the first trailer having crossed 100M views within the first day, Asad Ayaz, the marketing president of Walt Disney Studios and Disney+ released a statement to Variety. He addressed his audience with gratefulness and also to the creators.
The President expressed his enthrallment, having witnessed the splurge of viewership. He said, “From the excitement and anticipation to the speculation surrounding new characters and settings, it’s clear fans can’t wait to see this epic new film from Wes Ball and 20th Century Studios.”. Given the SAG-AFTRA delays added to the long hiatus, the overarching success of this trailer was something the creators did not anticipate.
Although the conquest is undeniable, the creators of Disney Studios also assure that it is not an effortless coincidence.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is due for a 2024 release starring Freya Allan, Owen Teague, Kevin Durand, and Peter Macon, among others. According to the reports, the allowance of success is not only credited to the cast and the maker. It is also the due work of the marketing genius and the creators. Initially, the trailer crossed 75 million views on socials like Facebook, YouTube, and X, formerly Twitter.

Owing to social interactions, the trailer was boosted with several mentions. Furthermore, it was also followed by an estimated 11,000 TikTok comments. The team also had launched a trailer tease which crossed 25 million views. While undeniably monumental, if this level of effort fails to ignite a proactive response, it is challenging to envision what else could achieve that.
