There was a time when movies with a valuable message that laid an emphasis on the art of cinematography were not considered monetarily excellent and often garnered terrible box office collections; however, the standard for cinema and theater viewing experience has reached a new high as movies like Barbie and Oppenheimer showed that balancing the vernier scale was in fact possible. However, as 2024 saw the release of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and Venom, the scale has once again been dis-balanced.

The year saw a range of monumental box office releases, with Deadpool & Wolverine becoming the highest R-rated movie of all time. However, as the highest grossing list rolls out and Tim Burton's Beetlejuice Beetlejuice gets replaced by Venom: The Last Dance, fans have a lot of questions.

Fans stated how they had secured 3D tickets to experience the best of Hardy's movie and that it deserved every bit to be on the list, while others reasoned that although Venom: The Last Dance had a greater pull, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was a greater movie.
