The world of sitcoms skyrocketed when the hit NBC Friends aired on the screens in 1994. Furthermore, maintaining the same quality over ten years would be tough, but the show succeeded each time. While the six buddies demonstrated what friendship looked like to the audience, their fantastic comic timing is something that fans remember to this day. One such episode featured Jennifer Aniston in her Rachel Green persona, which tickled the funny bones of the audience.

The show has pulled off several such moments that had the audience in splits. However, a specific episode starring Rachel and Ross required far more than just brainstorming ideas.

The entire show featured the constant back and forth of Ross and Rachel because of their “We were on a break” shenanigan. However, Jennifer Aniston’s character had the last laugh in the whole ordeal. The line “It’s a big deal” appeared in the episode The One With The Jellyfish, which featured the on-again, off-again couple’s fourth split. Furthermore, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly in 2020, executive producer Greg Malins explained how the legendary sentence came to be.

According to the producer, “It was the only time I’d ever written down my joke before I pitched.” He was concerned that if he did not present the concept right away, it might not be accepted. However, much to his surprise, the notion was favorably welcomed in the writer’s room. Further, executive producer Adam Chase inserted Rachael’s massive, big-deal kicker in a fit of ecstasy. Once an idea, it is now a well-known dialogue that the audience appreciates to this day.

While the dialogue was amusing, it fell short of what happened in the same episode with Chandler and Monica.

Several episodes show why Chandler Bing and Monica Geller were soulmates. But hints about their future pairing began even before their one-night standoff at Ross and Emily’s wedding. The first instance occurred in Season 4, Episode 1, when the entire gang went near the beach. Chandler spent the entire show pestering Monica on why she should date him. However, aside from that, there was another amazing occasion that had the audience rolling on the floor with laughter.

While the two friends were sunbathing on the beach, Joey was busy digging a hole in the sand. The next moment, Monica got bitten by a jellyfish. Further, to ease the pain, one of the two guys had to pee on her. Initially, Joey took over the role of being a nice friend, but because he was exhausted from digging the hole, Chandler had to pee on her. While this was amusing in itself, it was heightened when the entire group learned about the events.
