“Underlying issue” – Sparking the Infamous Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton’s Bridesmaids’ Dress Controversy Uncovered By a Designer
Now that the Archbishop of Canterbury anointed oil has blessed the king, 74, with good health and long reign, we are back to square one. While the crowned king has already begun his duties as the monarch, Royal reporters, critics, and the British tabloids once again turn their focus onto the more vulnerable group of the Royal family. And it seems like the two daughters-in-law, Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton, are their latest target.
When we hear the names of the two royal women together, there are a few incidents that may immediately pop up. And among others, one of the most recurring ones is the bridesmaids’ dress controversy. Yes, it did close its chapter with Harry & Meghan, the bombshell Netflix documentary. However, royal designer Miranda Holder nodded in agreement that it was “absolutely” okay to ask for alterations, even at the last moment.

Prince Harry apparently described the whole thing which had his bride, Meghan Markle, sobbing on the floor stating that Prince William’s wife was “unreasonably difficult,” when she found out her daughter Charlotte’s dress was too baggy for her to wear. Holder agreed that a designer with a growing child “should account for that and be able to let things out or take things in.”
So, if the problem was not because of designing technicalities, what exactly caused the dispute between the two?

The relationship problems between the royals held much greater significance in the dispute’s cause rather than anything else. “I think that it’s a symptom of the underlying issue between, well, the ‘fab four’ again, really, and I don’t think they’re getting on particularly well anyway. It’s a bit of an excuse,” Holder said in Newsweek’s The Royal Report podcast.
The designer further cited “cultural differences,” and agitated situations between the two royals as the reason for the whole dispute. She also provided an example of how she and her husband may appear to fight for as trivial a thing as coffee’s taste, but the underpinned reason may be much larger. Reports also suggest that the Princess of Wales has passed no comments over the public criticism that followed Prince Harry’s vivid description of the incident in her memoir.

Later on, rumors also had it that because of such saddening disputes, the Sussexes will perform the wedding nuptials once again and broadcast it as a part of their Netflix agreement.
