Despite both actors belong to different eras, they both have a giant and healthy physique. However, there is one more thing which is common between these two.

This specific common element between Schwarzenegger and Cavill led them to face issues in their career.

Henry Cavill and Arnold Schwarzenegger faced the same villain in Hollywood

The former The Witcher actor is British and has played many characters that have American accents. On the other hand, the 7-time Mr. Olympia title winner also portrayed several roles throughout his career. However, this displacement of both actors brought them into a lot of trouble. When Cavill donned the Superman cape in Man of Steel, he had to face a lot of trouble with his speech. Although it sounded natural in the 2011 film, the Enola Holmes actor found it difficult to switch from his English accent.

What was more interesting was that he had portrayed American characters before Man of Steel. However, while talking to Total Film in 2011, Cavill admitted he had been very bad in the past. Moreover, the 40-year-old admitted that doing an American accent was about exercising the muscles in the throat and mouth. He added unless one had a professional watching over them, it would not seem effortless.

What was interesting was that Henry Cavill admitted once he got comfortable with the accent, it was hard to switch back to his original one. Interestingly, the Austrian Oak also once opened up about his struggles with his accent, where he had to take up classes as well.

Arnold Schwarzenegger wanted his money back from the accent removal classes

Because of his bodybuilding background, the 76-year-old was already facing issues with getting roles. In a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, he admitted that his Austrian accent caused trouble and made people laugh at his Hollywood aspirations. However, his accent was one of the major benefits for him to get the role in Conan as well.

Just like these two actors, even Millie Bobby Brown, Hugh Laurie, Kevin McKidd, Idris Elba, and many more actors have worked on their accents to fit into their American characters. Well, with or without accents, Henry Cavill and Arnold Schwarzenegger live in their fans’ hearts rent-free.
