Two of the biggest upcoming and young stars are set to have a movie face-off. Sydney Sweeney and Timothée Chalamet will both be leading in some exciting movies that will drop for the audience in the winter of this year. Both the new talents dazzled at the Venice Film Festival, where they even met each other. From celebrating success to sharing a release date, they have come a long way in the industry.
The Euphoria actress and the Call Me by Your Name actor have earned multiple nominations through their shows. Both have progressed from small to big screens within a small of few years. Now the 27-year-old and the 25-year-old celebrities will both be shown as two classic characters known in the world.
How Sydney Sweeney and Timothée Chalamet will face off in December 2023

While Sydney Sweeney will star in Anyone But You, the titular character of Wonka will be played by Timothée Chalamet. Both movies are slotted to be released on December 15, 2023. Wonka was set to release on 17th March but was postponed until later. While Anyone But You wrapped up its filming this month, with the cast and crew sharing photos on social media. Wonka is a character written in 1964 by novelist Roald Dahl in his book ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.’ The character was previously played by Johnny Depp in the same movie in 2005.
This fantasy musical will follow the early days of this eccentric chocolatier and the world of his unique flavors. Meanwhile, Sweeney has been paired up with Glen Powell for this romantic comedy flick. Some parts of Wonka were shot at Oxford University, while Sweeney’s movie majorly took place in Sydney, Australia.

She would regularly post updates from her filming, which apparently provided jobs and income to the Kangaroo country.
What can we expect from the two movies?
The Sydney Sweeney starred movie may be best suited for a more mature audience, considering the inclusion of n*dity and explicit content. It is adapted from Shakespeare’s novel ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ and is directed by Will Gluck. While Wonka will be appropriate for a younger crowd as well, considering the nature of the story. The makers gave a little tease of the movie at CinemaCon recently. The Paul King direction will also include Hugh Grant and Rowan Atkinson. It will be seen how both fare amongst fans and critics.
