Timothée Chalamet as Troye Sivan Draws “one of the queerest SNL sketches” Ever Leaving Fans Obsessed
Three years after hosting a massively hit episode of SNL, Timothée Chalamet returned to host the comedy sketch series once again. In 2020, Chalamet and Pete Davidson’s Rap Roundtable SNL skit in which they poked fun at newly-emerging rap artists gained widespread popularity and quickly went viral. Now, the Wonka actor has returned to take on another famous musical artist from a different genre: Troye Sivan. And boy was it hilarious!
Yesterday, SNL rolled out a sketch dedicated to Sivan in which Chalamet portrayed the 28-year-old icon. As part of it, he even flashed his red underwear and shook his behind, leaving audiences amused and in splits. Earlier today, the series shared the clip on its X (previously Twitter) page too. The video showed a scene in which a patient was hounded by visions of Sivan. Meanwhile, the Dune actor danced a jig on the side, dressed as the Australian singer.

Besides his portrayal of Sivan, Chalamet also did a bit for his upcoming flick Wonka which recently released its first look. However, it was his enactment of the ‘Youth’ singer that stole the show. After all, Sivan is not just a popular YouTube star but also a Grammy award and Golden Globe award-nominated singer too! The combined star power of Chalamet and his character brought the sketch much praise.
Netizens were thoroughly impressed with the spot-on impression of Sivan’s queer flair, which is legendary in its own right. They celebrated the skit’s genius in the comments of the post.
