Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in their Netflix docuseries did not hold back any accusation against the royal family. This led to the shocking revelation that ever since they bid adieu to their positions as senior working royals, Prince Harry has not spoken to his father, King Charles, or his brother, Prince William. But for the ball of shocking and sad news that it was, the Harry & Meghan Netflix docuseries also gave a heartwarming look inside the Sussex family.

While the docuseries consisted of many scathing allegations against the royal family, Liz Garbus, the mastermind behind the camera made it so that the audience realized how precious the Sussex family truly is. She did this by showcasing priceless clips of the Duke and Duchess with their children. One such picture was that of Prince Harry holding a newly born Lilibet Diana wrapped in a blanket.

The black-and-white photo featured the Duke pecking Princess Lilibet, who was just the size of his arms back then. Fans found it oddly comforting to know that the severed ties with his father have not affected his relationship with his children. Princess Lilibet was born the year Prince Harry and Meghan Markle walked out of the royal kerfuffle in the United Kingdom. Both the Sussex kids, owing to the lack of time spent in the UK, do not have many memories of Kensington Palace or the royal family.

Barring the wholesome moment where Kate Middleton confessed how excited she was to meet Princess Lilibet, the royal family’s interaction with her has been only through official announcements of the give and take of her titles.

Following Megxit, the Sussexes made an abundance of shocking statements regarding the treatment they received at the hands of the royal family. What raised a lot of eyebrows, however, was when Meghan Markle suggested that the royal family did not want to give her son the title of a Prince.

She concluded that they were treating him differently because he was a person of color. However, experts have claimed that the royal family weighing whether to give royal titles to the Sussex children is a part of the procedure. In any case, the Sussexes have been using royal titles of the children despite leaving the family as working royals.
