Furthermore, Baena remains the strongest contender among the Schwarzenegger kids to take for the Austrian Oak’s legacy. Many speculated that the two had no close bond since Joseph Baena refused to use the Terminator actor’s last name. While he may have rejected the surname, he did not reject his father’s proposal to work out together.

Joseph Baena and Arnold Schwarzenegger are unstoppable at the gym

Giving new meaning to the term ‘gym bros’, the father-son duo bonded over a hardcore workout session. While the Austrian Oak may have quit bodybuilding in 1980, his workout is still quite extreme. And Joseph Baena’s selfie with him in 2021 proved that you could take Arnold Schwarzenegger out of bodybuilding, but you can’t take the bodybuilder out of Arnold Schwarzenegger. The actor made his then 23-year-old son do force reps.

“This selfie was taken moments before my dad suggested I do ‘forced reps’ for the rest of the workout,” Junior Schwarzenegger wrote in the caption.

His experience is among the many who have testified to how the Austrian Oak leaves absolutely no stone unturned when it comes to working out. So much so that he used it to test whether Chris Pratt would be a good son-in-law or not.

Is Joseph Baena a bodybuilder?

The Terminator actor has five kids. Among them, Joseph Baena seems to be the spitting image of his father during his youthful days. However, the similarities do not stop there. Much like Schwarzenegger, Joseph Baena also ventured into bodybuilding.

Before he could become as successful as his father in the field, Baena decided to test his leg in the entertainment industry. He was a contender on Dancing With the Stars and then went on to sign movies where he played minor roles. Just like his father, Baena also went for a third career, albeit with a different profession. The actor is also a real estate agent.
