The 72nd Emmy Awards on September 20th became an unexpected mini-reunion of Friends stars. Jennifer Aniston, who was up for Lead Actress in a Drama Series for The Morning Show, joined the host Jimmy Kimmel on a virtual broadcast. While she was talking about her nomination on the live video call, her friend joined in. The surprised host exclaimed, “Look at this: Courteney Cox”.
Then Kimmel asked why Cox was there, to which the Monica Geller actor replied, “Of course, I’m here, we live together”. The Murder Mystery star added that they have lived together since 1994, reminding viewers of their comedy drama. Another fellow roommate and co-star Lisa Kudrow shortly joined the pair and the comedian again joked if she also lived with them. To this, Kudrow replied, “Yeah, where else would I live?”.
The reunion was, however, gate-crashed by Jason Bateman, who said he lived with her until he went to college. While this Emmys reunion made people laugh, the original reunion of this gang came one year later when the entire cast sat down to recall their time on the show. But unlike this moment, Aniston walked off the reunion because it reminded her of hard times in life.

In November 2021, Jennifer Aniston and the entire cast of the NBC sitcom met up to celebrate their show. However, the Emmy winner found it emotionally draining as she admitted in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter later the same year. She confessed how she thought doing this would be fun, but she was wrong.
She left the set several times because it brought back all her difficult times. During her time on the show, she was married to Brad Pitt and believed life was going to be beautiful. Unfortunately, things started to crumble down, and the set reminded her of how her personal life was becoming a mess. Despite how emotionally challenging it was, she completed the filming, and the special ended up being a massive hit.
