3 Reasons Why Knull From ‘Venom: The Last Dance’ Is Much Better Suited in MCU, Than in Sonyverse
Sony is still trying to catch up with the MCU’s superhero-sized fanbase. Lately, the studio has been busy building its universe around Spider-Man. So far, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man has not made a cameo in any of the Venom flicks, Morbius, or even Madame Web. But that does not mean there has not been some crossover between the two studios- Sony and the MCU. For example, Knull, who was loosely adapted as the Dark Shadow Lord in MCU's Thor: Love and Thunder, is also about to drop in Venom: The Last Dance.
Despite the exciting prospects of this crossover, here are three big reasons why this character is better suited for the MCU over Sony.

Knull’s great power, including the ability to take down Celestials, needs the kind of big-screen treatment that only the MCU can deliver. His larger-than-life abilities are way beyond anything Sony has ever done before, and it could be a letdown to see such a powerful villain watered down. The MCU has already handled characters at this level, so they can bring out Knull's full, fearsome presence, on the screen.
Secondly, fans worry Knull might get shortchanged on screen time, much like Gorr in Thor: Love and Thunder. Villains as complex as Knull need a solid introduction and real development- something the MCU tends to do well, while Sony is infamous for sometimes rushing into the action. And finally, Knull has to come across as a force to be reckoned with, not just another villain who can be knocked down too easily. Seeing how MCU has treated characters like Thanos and Gorr in the past, it is certain that Knull will be honored well by the studio.
On top of that, this crossover could open the floodgates to even more connections between Sony's Spider-Man Universe and the MCU.

To this day, until, of course, Doctor Doom steps up and shows his true power, Thanos is considered the MCU's most threatening villain. And one way to bridge the Sonyverse and the MCU with Knull is through the symbiote hive mind. After the chaos caused by Thanos' snap in Avengers: Infinity War Thanos could wake Knull from his slumber- making him see the upheaval as the perfect chance to flex his power.
In this sense, Thanos' legacy as a cosmic villain could actually call for Knull’s arrival, creating more room for conflicts in both the MCU and Sony's universe- especially since Knull is the driving force behind all symbiotes. Introducing this crucial concept in the MCU, hopefully through Spider-man 4, makes the case for Knull's existence even stronger, even if the Venom symbiote is not originally from Earth-616.
