However, the updates regarding the new and improved Superman, as James Gunn is convinced that it is going to be, have given it a whole new shape.

What was once an imbalanced seesaw with shattered Cavill fans claiming the suit will never quite fit again is now balanced and even leaning towards David Corenswet primarily because of the three following reasons.

With him crafting the Superman of his dreams in David Corenswet, wisely chosen to be a fresh face, Gunn might bring forth a masterpiece as iconic as his Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy.

The 'bright' future of Superman

Even if the Snyder cut jokes in Barbie got you a little red in the face, there is no denying that irrespective of the arguable cinematic genius that they encompass, they do require the viewer to squint really hard to see what is unfolding on the screen. On the contrary, James Gunn's Superman is willing to stick closer to the comic book portrayal of the superhero being a symbol of hope and positivity.

David Corenswet brings forth a new age of Kal-El

From James Gunn's dispersal of Henry Cavill despite him being a proven weapon to attract audiences to doing away with the gills infused darker shade of the Superman costume for a brighter and simpler one, it was clear that David Corenswet's Superman was going to be different. However, that this difference was going to be something that fans found absolutely adorable was only registered when set photos of the actor surfaced online, making everyone hopeful for the new era of Superman helmed by David Corenswet and James Gunn.
