The year was 1953 when England had last watched the coronation ceremony of Queen Elizabeth. Now her son, King Charles, is ready to take on the throne and wear the crown. And Prince George, his grandson, will also be a part of that ceremony. According to People, the young prince will be the Page of Honor, which is a ceremonial position during the ceremony. It does not involve any actual duty, but rather a symbolic part of the coronation. The reason why it stands out is that the nine-year-old is second in line to the throne after his father, Prince William.
As per a Royal source, making him part of the ceremony symbolizes a right step that the young one will remember forever. Even Queen Camilla’s grandsons will be there to witness the event. Gus and Louis Lopes, who are children of her daughter Laura Lopes, will certainly come in the highlight for their presence.

In recent times, the late Queen’s presence during Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding proved her willingness to let go of certain traditions. But Prince George’s participation will be the first of its kind.
Potential King/Queens would stay out of their parent’s coronation ceremonies in the past
During Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation, King Charles was just four years old. He was brought in for a brief time during the three-hour ceremony. The late Queen herself attended only as a witness during her father, King George VI’s ceremony back in 1937. The one thing that will remain the same perhaps is the King and the Queen coming out on their balconies after the ceremony to wave at the world. For Prince George, it makes him the youngest Royal to participate in a coronation.
