This Rock Band Had ‘Friends’ Co-Stars Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox Swear Upon It as Their Favorite
Entertainment has for long taken up many shapes and forms, but amid the flood of content, only a few have managed to seal themselves as timeless. Starting in the early 90s and going all the way to the turn of the millennium, one sitcom earned a legacy for itself beyond compare. Moreover, its six core main cast huddled before each episode to resonate their bonds as that of a family. In that bonhomie of Friends, Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox found their friendship having much more in common than starring as some of the most well-recognized faces globally.
In one such long throwback, a budding rock band found the two co-stars as its fans and shared the story behind it.

Combining music and Friends brings back Lisa Kudrow’s ‘Smelly Cat’ to the mind. However, past that on-screen favorite, Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox remained smitten by the rock trio, Crash Kings. The Los Angeles-based band caught the frenzy of the duo thanks to Cox’s husband, David Arquette. Talking to US Weekly in September 2010, lead singer Tony Beliveau, broke the news of how “David got interested in our music in March or April of 2009”.
Coming across as a “big fan” in one of the parties where the band happened to be playing, Arquette passed on his fandom to Cox and Aniston. Soon after, the singer revealed, he started getting familiar and “became pretty good friends.” The piano-driven American alternative rock band dropped their debut album, ‘Crash Kings’, in 2009. Famed for their bass and drumming, ‘It’s Only Wednesday’ and ‘Mountain Man’ stand as some of their best hits.
Finding herself a favorite band would be one thing, but Jennifer Aniston also made her debut in singing in her latest outing.

Following the run of Friends, Jennifer Aniston sealed her legacy as a fashion icon who never made mistakes. However, she remained equally footed in the acting arena as well. One of her most well-marked recent outings came from the Apple TV+ drama, The Morning Show. In the fifth episode of the debut season, the actress took a new turn as she sang a duet with Billy Crudup’s character, Cory Ellison.
Harmonizing her vocals to ‘Not While I’m Around’ from Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd, the first did not mark the only one of Aniston’s singing forays. In season three, she would sing ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ again during the seventh episode. Playing Alex Levy and baring a real-life mirror to behind-the-scenes of popular actual shows, this turn came in stark contrast to her more serious and gripping shots.
