No, it is not John Cena, Sam Rockwell, or even pop-star Dua Lipa, for that matter. The real star of Argylle is on the way to winning over everyone’s hearts, except for Cavill’s best friend Kal.

Besides Cavill and the other popular stars, Argylle introduces another star who belongs to Matthew Vaughn’s family. The star is none other than Chip, the cat, who has taken on the role of Elly Conway’s cat, Alfie. The cat will reportedly be a constant companion of Elly throughout her adventure. Though there has not been any clarification on how significant Chip’s role would be in the movie, its heavy feature in the trailer and posters is making it a highlight of the upcoming movie and a pain spot for Cavill’s dog, Kal.

Any ardent fan of Cavill would know that he is a very private person who likes to spend his spare time with video games. However, he has a permanent companion who never leaves his side. Kal, Cavill’s adorable Akita dog, has been a source of comfort for Cavill in his toughest moments. And now seeing Cavill socialize with another animal could stir up some real jealousy in Kal.

During his battle with stress and anxiety, that grew out of his insane work schedules, he had Kal on his side to seek solace. However, not many would know that it was Cavill’s ex-girlfriend who introduced Kal to him in the first place. 

Carano and Cavill were a thing back in 2012. The couple was in an on-and-off relationship until they went their separate ways permanently around 2014. During their time as a couple, the stars added a member to their family. Kal was an Akita puppy from Big Bear Akitas, a breeder in Arkansas who stayed back with Cavill even after his separation from Carano.
