Ross Geller and Rachel Green’s love story is one of the major attractions of the ’90s sitcom. Their on-and-off relationship gave the viewers several hilarious and serious moments to cherish. Amidst them all, the “We were on a break” narrative almost got a feature in a Kit Kat ad. Recently, an Instagram handle, imthirtyaf, posted an old tweet suggesting the Friends stars appearing in the commercial recreating that iconic moment.

An X (Formerly Twitter) user Zoe Mendoza Hall presented the idea of Schwimmer saying, “Do you ever need a BREAK?” looking at the camera. Meanwhile, Aniston would pass by and say, “Really? You’re still on this?” And the advertisement would end by recreating Ross’ memorable shout, “WE WERE ON A BREAK“ Well, as hilarious as this idea sounded, Kit Kat was on board as they replied, “*immediately messages our marketing department*”

Sadly for fans, the commercial never happened. However, as the Instagram user, imthirtyaf, recently shared a screenshot of an old chat, fans rushed in to express their support. After going through a lot of hurdles, Ross and Rachel finally ended up together. However, Ross thought Rachel’s office friend Mark was trying to steal her from him. He became insecure, and it suffocated Rachel. Now, after a lot of hard work, Rachel had finally found a job that she loved. Therefore, after feeling a lot of pressure, Rachel suggested taking a little break from the relationship.

Ross, devastated and depressed from the fight, ended up sleeping with Chloe, a Xerox girl in the show. Despite Ross trying to hide it from Rachel, she found out, and they broke up. Now, to explain himself in the situation, Ross continually kept on saying, “We were on a break“. Amongst all the Ross-Rachel moments, this moment has always been fans’ favorite one. Therefore, seeing this recreation in a different dimension would have made fans’ lives better.
