And Meghan Markle, when she stepped into the carriage alongside Prince Harry as the Duchess of Sussex, famously became the first royal to put this to use. It is through moves like these that the former actress has made ‘Media Savvy Meghan’ one of her most popular names.

While Markle may have shocked the British netizens and beyond as she resorted to choosing to bake as a medium for her charitable efforts earlier, she has now started a trend among the royals. And one of the first to have taken a liking is none other than Princess Eugenie.

Princess Eugenie follows Meghan Markle’s baking guide in an unconventional way

Among the first contributions that Meghan Markle made as the Duchess of Sussex was a cookbook titled Together: Our Community Cookbook. The cookbook’s inclusion of baking recipes remains unclear, but it has still managed to inspire Princess Eugenie. The daughter of the Duke of York, joined by her friend Julia de Boinville, attended a baking class dedicated to helping survivors of modern slavery, earlier this week.

While this is the first time Princess Eugenie has been found baking for the cause, it is not the first time her efforts against modern slavery have come to light. Boinville and Princess Eugenie, since 2017, have been the masterminds behind The Anti-Slavery Collective, aiding numerous women in breaking free from the chains of modern slavery and fostering the development of valuable vocational skills.

The photos featured Princess Eugenie having a good time as she mixed the batter along with other attendees and starkly resembled Meghan Markle’s photos from her many charity endeavors.

Cooking as a way of charity: A Meghan Markle classic

The Duchess of Sussex has always found a liking in using her culinary skills to make a difference. Not only is it a unique approach, but truly proves that the way to people’s hearts is through food. Meghan Markle’s cookbook achieved remarkable success, selling over 71,000 copies in just seven weeks and a few samosas to Prince Harry. While it may not match the success of Prince Harry’s memoir, it significantly aided the survivors of the Grenfell Tower Fire, the intended beneficiaries, in a gracious manner.

While the cookbook was released in 2018 and marked one of Markle’s first successes as a royal, the Duchess has carried the beautiful mix of cooking and charity across the pond. Despite keeping her distance from the spotlight, Markle put her baking skills and best apron on display to celebrate Women’s History Month with ingredients grown in her own garden.
