Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are currently riding through an on-and-off wave with their allies. While long-time friends have ditched the couple, new staunch supporters have sided with the Sussexes. After the recent “bloody furious” fallout with football legend, David Beckham and Hollywood bigwig, George Clooney, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have another celebrity hopping onto their Sussex squad bandwagon. The Irish comedian and actor, Graham Norton, is popularly known for winning five major BAFTA Awards to his name.

Ironically, he recently shaded the royal family and its current flag bearer, Prince William, the president of the BAFTA Awards. 

Graham Norton gets candid about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

In a recent chat show with Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the star spoke on a spectrum of topics that surrounded the Sussexs. When asked about “the overriding kind of feeling about Harry and Meghan,” Norton made it pretty clear whose grounds he stands on. “I think the press, it’s very kind of anti them,” said Norton, terming their situation as difficult. Moreover, he believes, the tensions between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have proved as a gift to Prince William and Kate Middleton. 

Norton commented that Palace members are “deified” and sarcastically mentioned the popular notion that they are entirely impeccable. “They can do no wrong,” mimicked the star joking about how Kate Middleton can even get away with a hit-and-run and “it’d be fine”. The bottom line of the incident would be, after all, covered with the phrase, “She’s such a lovely person”. 

Speaking of the Sussexes, he affirmed how they are just as regular as them all. “Let them live their lives,” said the star at last. Not only Norton, the host Andy Cohen too, has actively defended the Duchess in the past. 

Andy Cohen debunked rumors against Meghan Markle’s “fake” podcast

The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle breached headlines for months on end for her famous Archetypes podcast on Spotify. Gaining multiple accolades for her star-studded revolutionary chat show, Markle lastly found herself at the receiving end of all criticism. While various media persons targeted her for faking the podcast, Andy Cohen confirmed how all of it was mere false allegations. 

Speaking to US Weekly, he said, “That’s an insane rumour“. He further claimed her podcasts were with actual people. “How would she not have? Of course she did,” he affirmed amidst swirling controversies.
