France is all in the buzz these days because of the famous Cannes Film Festival going on. Lights, camera, and French Riveria’s glitz and glamor are all alive with the festival. The dazzling gowns and anticipation of new films descend upon this iconic cinematic event. In the middle of the event, there are two Hollywood queens that are currently in Paris: Selena Gomez and Zoe Saldana. The duo are currently in the city of love for an important project. The paparazzi’s lenses caught glimpses of the Rare Beauty founder and the Guardians of the Galaxy star, sending waves of excitement pulsating through their devoted fans. But what is the project about?

Back in 2022, French director Jacques Audiard announced her upcoming project, Emilia Perez, which was supposed to begin shooting in April this year as reported by Variety. Audiard shared with Variety that the idea for the movie came to him around two years ago as “an opera libretto in four acts”. This eventually led to him writing the movie. With that, the time has come, and the shoot has begun. It is for this that the two stars, Gomez and Saldana, were papped.

Emilia Perez talks about a Mexican cartel leader who becomes a woman after a sex reassignment surgery. As of now, there have no details about what role Selena Gomez and Zoe Saldana would be playing in this musical crime comedy. But Karla Sofia Gascón will be playing the cartel leader in it. 

While the production seems to be going in full force, fans can’t have enough of Saldana and Gomez’s gorgeous clicks.

Emilia Perez was supposed to be shot in Mexico earlier, but later the location was shifted to Paris. Following earlier updates about the shoot beginning in spring, the two leading ladies were spotted in a Paris restaurant yesterday, Siena, on seemingly separate occasions. Saldana, based on the plate she has signed in the image, seems to have visited the eatery with her husband Marco Saldana, while other images on the internet show Gomez at two restaurants (including Siena) on the same night.

Twitter page, Film Updates, shared the picture of these two beauties who looked adorable and cute in them. And fans agree with the same as well.

As soon as the pictures came out, fans went crazy seeing them out and called them ‘mothers’ for their undying beauty. An excited fan expressed their wish for the two actresses to pose together for a picture, while one could not believe that the ‘queens were together’. 

Fans were also excited to see the GOTG and Avatar actress not play a role where she is either blue or green. 

Zoe Saldana recently starred in Avatar: A Way of Water and the last edition of GOTG movie that got fans hopeful about James Gunn’s vision for DCU. On the other hand, Selena Gomez wrapped the shooting of Only Murders in the Building.
