‘The Morning Show’ Serves up a Throwback to a 2010 Jennifer Aniston Golden Globe Moment
With Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon’s return to the third season of The Morning Show, the stakes were higher than ever. In the third installment of the nuanced drama series, the plot thickened on certain arcs, as expected. Meanwhile, some new relationships formed, and intimate scenes took the spotlight. Not as much as the ever-stunning costumes of the show, though. One outfit in particular caught the audience’s eyes and forced them to jog their memories.
It was the same one the 54-year-old had once donned to stun a different audience over a decade ago.

In a clip from Season 3 of the show, Aniston’s character Alex got the chance to don a stunning off-shoulder black Valentino gown. This was the same dress that Aniston had earlier worn to the Golden Globe Awards event. Recently, crew member Kristin Hahn told Vogue that including that iconic piece on the seventh episode was the Friends actress’s own idea. In the scene, Pierpaolo Piccioli: Valentino’s creative director who recreated the iconic dress also made a guest appearance.
Although Aniston is known to save some of her favorite designer pieces from the past, this one was solely remade for her to wear in the clip. Besides her show-stopping dress, the scene also featured some dazzling, vivid pink looks from the label’s Pink PP collection. As always, the show’s latest season stayed true to its streak of serving up style through its cast.
Evidently, Aniston convinced the show’s team and even her $1.5 billion stylist to grant her autonomy over wardrobe choices with her greatest superpower.

Earlier in an interview, Debra McGuire who oversees The Morning Show actress’s wardrobe confessed that she trusts her choices for one reason. In her decades of red carpet appearances, Aniston has never faltered in her look once. According to McGuire, the LolaVie founder’s instinct when it comes to fashion can be trusted easily. Clearly, she proved McGuire right by bringing back the gown that stole the show again after all those years.
In a way, the 54-year-old reflects the most well-known trait of the character she is most known for playing. After playing the ever-stylish fashion consultant, Rachel Green from Friends, Aniston seems to have picked up the tricks of the trade, especially when it comes to being a style icon. Not only her wardrobe, but her hairdos have inspired women for decades now.
