‘The Morning Show’ Fame Jennifer Aniston Wins Big at the People’s Choice Awards
The 2024 BAFTA Awards caved in the reminder that Jennifer Aniston may have missed out on the first red carpet event of the year. Despite the starry night feeling of the absence of Aniston’s all-black palette charisma in award ceremonies, it seems like the People’s Choice Awards is compensating in more ways than one to keep the applause running for her. Hence, shortly after giving the audience a taste of a starlit rendezvous with Adam Sandler, his co-star leveled up to bag the win for the night for her role in The Morning Show.
Additionally, this marks Aniston’s first trophy for a journey back home this year among the many others to come.

Moments ago, the Friends alum made space for the audience’s trip down memory lane after introducing Sandler as People’s Icon. What the fans did not know back then was that this would lead to a turnaround moment of applause for Aniston just minutes later. Anyhow, not only did something of the like happen but in amplification as the actress took home the award for Drama TV Star of the Year category.
The reality star was on the nominee list for two categories- Female TV Star of the Year and Drama TV Star of the Year. For both the categories, among other nominees, Aniston is also going up against The Morning Show co-star Reese Witherspoon. Although that segment has yet to announce a winner, Aniston bagging Drama TV Star of the Year has made her a winner against 7 other nominations, including the man she made headlines with for the Critics’ Choice Awards, Pedro Pascal.
While the world was more than overwhelmed to witness Aniston take the trophy at the ceremony, it makes one wonder if it was an intentional choice on her end to miss the BAFTA.

The award season is picking up its pace in full throttle, with hardly a day’s space in between to make the appearances count. The BAFTA Awards, held in London, hence, did witness the absence of Jennifer Aniston and her signature all-black-palette charm. The reason that took the most bids was the long distance between London and Santa Monica, making her choose the latter.
Fast forward to the People’s Choice Awards, Aniston already managed to blow minds twice. First with her star-struck reunion while presenting the People’s Icon Award to Adam Sandler and then taking her own sweet victory for Drama TV Star of the Year. Although initially, people did wish for Aniston’s charm for the BAFTA Awards too, now it seems a blessing in disguise, as her presence could have counted as her absence for this one.
