Stars from across the globe are resorting to the LA borders this year due to the consecutive award seasons. Currently waving its magic wand, the 30th Annual SAG Awards is awarding the biggest cinematic and television achievements. Keeping his long streak of accolades running, Pedro Pascal already made his mark tonight at the Shrine Auditorium by bagging the Best Leading Male Award for Drama Series for The Last of Us.

Taking to the stage, Pascal unleashed his enthusiasm like never before. While he kept the audience busy with his hilariously cheeky “drunk” quips, this came as the second win for The Last of Us for tonight. The stellar show also won Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Television Series. Following its sweeping Emmy conquest this year and several other praiseworthy mentions, the HBO series keeps its victory streak alive and never in a better way.

Following the jovial award-winning speech and his “panic attack” throw, Pascal also exchanged dialogue with Tan France behind the stage. While he did find it difficult to recall his minutes-ago speech on stage, fans worldwide hardly forgot his overwhelming response upon the victory call. The actor further went on to hug Steven Yeun following the latter’s win for Best Leading Male in a Limited Series for Beef.

However, this is not the first time that Pascal and Yeun led the award show with winning streaks, as a similar scenario unfolded at the Primetime Emmys.

The Last of Us and Beef’s winning streak at the Emmys

During the 75th Primetime Emmys, the battle of streaming giants unleashed with HBO and Netflix going neck to neck. Pedro Pascal’s The Last of Us swept clean the charts of expectancy with 8 wins at the ceremony while Beef followed the lead with 5 awards. After securing a high rise in its conclusive stretch, the domination by The Last of Us cleared the avenue for future victories.

Similarly, Beef too held its head high for its touchdown legacy in this SAG Awards. Following its Emmy wins and Critics’ Choice sweep, Ali Wong and Steven Yeun again won the titles of Best Female and Male Actors in a Miniseries or Television Movie. While it looks like quite the year for the streaming moguls, let’s hope that the cheeky anecdotes come forward rather often from Pascal while his run into with Yuen takes more space in the paparazzi’s camera reels.
