The ‘Insane’ King Charles Habit Inherited by Prince Harry Has Meghan Markle Stunned
The fruit does not fall far from the tree. Regardless of the numerous external forces that tend to disperse the fruit from the roots, it does not wander off far from its origin. And that seems to stand true not just with commoners but also the highly scrutinized UK royals as well. No one is unaware of the unending tensions among the members of the House of Windsor. As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle gave up on their UK Sovereigns long back in 2020, the newly minted Monarch, too, has not shown any signs of reconciliation from his end.
Apart from the last joint front on King Charles’ royal spectacle in May, the King, and his wayward son have hardly come in contact with each other. The monarch undoubtedly has his reasons. Nonetheless, years of differences and harsh ties have failed to pull them apart fundamentally from each other.

In a rare instance, fours years ago, as reported by Express, the Duke talked of the lessons his father imparted instead of the oppression he encountered because of the King’s actions. In the age-old BBC interview, Prince, Son, and Heir: Charles at 70, Prince Harry shared that his father instilled in him “the significance of conversing energy”. “He’s a stickler for turning lights off,” confessed the Duke about King Charles. He intended to teach them the importance of preserving the resources, and both the brothers ended up grasping it quite well.
They made it so much of a habit that post-marriage, the Duke’s wife, Meghan Markle, was surprised by the same.

As said earlier, the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, and The Prince of Wales, Prince William, learned their father’s teachings by heart. And having practiced it diligently, Prince Harry became obsessed with turning off lights and other electronic appliances under his father’s influence. This apparently came off a little weird for his wife.
The Prince had developed an obsession with the new norm and termed it as “insane”. He further admitted how the Duchess would ask him about the necessity of doing so. “My wife goes ‘Well, why turn the lights off? You know it’s dark’,” confessed the Prince in the BBC documentary. Prince William too, in fact, concurred with his brother, saying he had also developed “a serious OCD” with the lights turned on.
