The Iconic Home From ‘Home Alone’ Movie Goes on Sale for a Whopping $5.2 Million This Holiday Season

While movies become classics owing to their evergreen plots, performances by actors, and even their background music, one thing that remains even after the credits roll is the statement piece that catches the audience's eyes. From the red cape of Superman to the haunted houses that feature in movies like The Conjuring, there are certain elements that are equivalent to the movie's magnificence. Things go further up a notch when it comes to the gigantic house of Home Alone.

A timeless Christmas classic, the movie manages to remain as new as ever, and just how much of a chokehold it still has on the viewers became evident when the big house went on sale around Christmas time.

Decades later and devoid of any mess that Kevin had caused under much more modern ceilings and floors, the Home Alone house went up on the market. For a house that was being watched, even when it was not up for sale, it did not take long for it to grasp an offer within a week of being on the market. The new seller secured the house for a whopping $5.2 million. 

The house was built in 1921 and got a major remodel in 2018, where it was prim and prospered as per the times. While the sale is still pending, the whopping million-dollar sale is a testament to just how much the house is worth. The three-storied house with a gazillion more amenities is much more than a beautiful house, akin to Meghan Markle's former home, as it has a story to tell.

Owing to its foul-proof plot, paired with the magic of Christmas, Home Alone is a movie that was among the first to transcend borders and unite viewers in laughter and carol. With the lead actor, Macaulay Culkin, playing an eight-year-old in the first movie, the audience developed a connection with him and the entire McCallister family, leading to their piqued interest in the actors, despite the years.
