‘The Flash’s #8 Spot in This Surprising DCEU Films List Inspires Fans to Take Sides
With the times changing, there have been changes in the methods of making a film, too. And those changes have led the DCU in a new direction as well. With the recent release of The Flash, the studio has taken a new turn under the leadership of James Gunn and Peter Safran. However, this list with the recent DC film at the 8th spot made fans choose sides.
The film’s success is determined by many factors, including its earnings on the opening weekend. However, sometimes it may also happen the film would not earn too much but get positive reviews and vice versa. While keeping the reviews aside, this list of DC’s films of the opening weekend earnings (high to low) has the Ezra Miller starrer recent DC movie at #8.

With Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck starrer Batman VS Superman at the #1 spot, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman 1984 got the last spot. Earning $55.1 million on the opening weekend, The Flash, the most recent DC film, stayed behind. While the earlier movies are still on top, fans can not stop but think about how the times have changed. Praising Zack Snyder and his vision, some fans even expressed their wish for him to be back as well.

Amidst all these movies, fans defended their favorite creations and creators. One of the underrated films, Birds of Prey, also received appreciation from fans. According to fans, some of their favorite movies should have been treated better (referring to WB’s involvement in creating the films). While some said DC films were better when Zack Snyder was a part of the DCU. Nevertheless, some fans also talked about why the DCU should have kept Henry Cavill instead of axing him.
While these fans chose their favorites, one fan also praised the recent Barry Allen movie. The Flash saw Sasha Calle as Supergirl, who received praise from the former Superman, Henry Cavill. This fan praises the film and Supergirl as well.

Others chose Snyder’s vision, while some chose the post-Snyder DC Universe. Some once again campaigned to restore the Snyderverse, while others praised Gunn’s takeover of the DCU, looking forward to what he has to offer after giving an amazing end to the GOTG franchise.
