Wrexham recently returned to the Second Division after finishing their season in the National League in record-breaking fashion. While the defeat almost derailed Wrexham off its track, Parkinson revealed how McElhenney was the first person to text him after the match back in September.

During his previous award acceptance speech, the Wrexham boss spoke, “the first text I got was Rob McElhenney [saying] ‘Phil, we’re right behind you, we’re right with you.” He continued how the support extended even to the team’s financial requirements. Despite losing a ton of money at Wrexham, the Hollywood duo has continued to spend big for the club’s development.

Elsewhere, Parkinson revealed that Reynolds and McElhenney have been extremely supportive, especially during bad games. The adorable revelation from Parkinson about the duo spoke volumes of how incredible they are as owners.

However, McElhenney added how over time the Deadpool actor has become one of his closest friends in the industry. Over the past three years, the duo have formed an exemplary bond achieving some impressive feats together.
