Another day, another leak. Superman 2025 has the prying eyes of the paparazzi hooked on it everywhere. Ever since James Gunn shared the first look of David Corenswet as Superman, social media has been inundated with various set leaks from the upcoming movie, revealing many characters and how they have been designed to look in the reinvented DC universe. Recently, another unofficial first look at a Superman character has come to light.

Hawkgirl is the new victim of having her look leaked way before the official release. The first look of Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl has been revealed, filming an action sequence. This look was then compared to Aldis Hodge’s Hawkman in the 2022 movie Black Adam. The new Hawkgirl look seemed lacking movie modernization and very caricature-like, feeling like a “downgrade” to the original character. Although, it was comic-accurate, considering the iconic bird motif and the yellow-and-black color scheme. 

MyTimeToShineHello compared the two looks on X, saying, "The downgrade is insane WTF". These pictures were from Cleveland, where the movie is currently filming its outdoor sequences. This came right after James Gunn clarified that none of these leaks contain "even a little" bit of a spoiler. The studio executive was well aware that set leaks were bound to happen and therefore made sure not to shoot any major scenes outside that could ruin the movie for fans. However, Hawkgirl’s look has done it anyway, it seems.

As soon as Hawkgirl's photo leaked online, fans immediately expressed disappointment and concern, worrying that Superman 2025 might spoil the franchise for them. 

The leaked set photos from the upcoming Superman movie are too many at this point. From Daily Planet staffers, including Kyler Gisondo's Jimmy Olsen and Wendell Pierce's Perry White, and even David Corenswet’s Clark Kent look, to Rachel Brosnahan's Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult's Lex Luthor, and Edi Gathegi's Mister Terrific, there have been numerous set leaks. However, fans are not liking most of the looks. They criticized Hawkgirl’s look and even compared it to Ciara Renée’s character in DC's Legends of Tomorrow.

Meanwhile, some fans assured others that these were just prototypes and that costumes would be updated in the final shoots.

Superman 2025 is anyway going to be under a lot of scrutiny due to the new changes introduced by James Gunn, some of which have been extremely disappointing for fans. However, there is a significant number of fans who still want to trust the process and Gunn’s vision before making any conclusions, at least not based solely on some leaked set images.
