‘The Crown’s’ King Charles Reportedly Lost Touch With Prince Harry After Revealing “too much”
Netflix’s The Crown came to an end this December after six seasons of acclaimed historical drama. The mirrored unfolding of the life of the late Queen Elizabeth II through the 1940s and right up to the turn of the millennium shed light on the finer details of the monarchy’s proceedings inside the palace while taking viewers down some of global history’s biggest events. In an interesting development, Dominic West, who played King Charles III (Prince Charles in the show) reportedly fell out with his friend, Prince Harry.
Remarkably, though, the fallout had little connection to the show’s airing and happened behind the cameras.

300 actor Dominic West played the role of Prince Charles for the fifth and sixth seasons of The Crown. Yet, none of this stood as a hindrance to his friendship with Prince Harry except for one instance he pointed out that likely led to a fallout. Speaking to Times Radio, West recalled how in one press conference for The Crown he spilled more than he should have about the duo’s trek along the Langjökull Glacier in Iceland.
“I think I was asked what we did to celebrate when we got there, and probably said too much.” Details including toasting their success with champagne from a prosthetic leg as well as other not-so-public ones about Prince Harry likely dented their relationship. The duo walked alongside one another in the 2013 Walking With The Wounded challenge which led to a bonhomie development. Yet, after the press event, the talks ceased as West responded “No, we sort of, no” when asked if he still remained in touch with the Duke.
Regardless, The Crown aired its finale which saw both of the currently warring brothers find screen time.

Season six of The Crown dropped in two volumes. The conclusion marked seven years of airing, despite Prince William’s expression of resentment over its representation of his family. The finale had the Queen consoling her grandsons with advice. Following it was a conversation between the two brothers who are currently not on speaking terms.
“I can’t believe you caved like that,” Prince Harry aimed his guns at Prince William in one of the final six episodes of the Netflix period drama. Along with Princess Diana’s final moments with her sons, the show also foreshadowed the current separation between the two brothers. At the center of this was again Dominic West’s character, who poignantly essayed his role despite a real-life cost.
