Antony Starr further expressed his support for the idea, saying he would be "down for it" having suggested a cinematic release.

The entire team went seemingly on board with Alonso's vision, indicating a strong desire to give the show a grand finale. The team featuring lead actors of the franchise was mere minutes away from sealing the deal with showrunner Eric Kripke to conclude the series with a feature film. However, Laz Alonso skillfully dodged the opportunity, leaving the audience disappointed but still hopeful. The idea may have been put on the back burner for now, but only time will tell if it will be revisited in the future.

The latest season of The Boys has just dropped, with two more episodes slated to release on July 11 and July 18, 2024, respectively. Despite the uncertainty following Kripke's dip before the finale, fans can rest assured as reports still have it that the show will continue to deliver its remaining season in its full blend of action and satire. As the series continues to unfold, only time will tell if the team will revisit the idea of a cinematic conclusion.
