Since the spinoff, Gen V hit Amazon Prime Video last year, fans were left craving more in hopes for its fourth installment. And now that the wait is nearly over with less than a month’s gap till its release, Jack Quaid has already left fans in heightened anticipation by remarking this to be his most-loved season thus far. 

When the first trailer was released from the season, fans were apprehensive of the long wait. And now that the wait has shrunk to mere days, fans have returned relieved with the final countdown, thanks to Quaid’s not-so-spoilt-spoiler.

In a recent interview with Collider, Jack Quaid spared no effort to excite fans ahead of The Boys season 4 premiere, declaring it his “favorite” season of the series. He praised the show’s writers for making this season the standout by discovering “new beats” and avoiding repetition. Reflecting on the sheer craziness of this season, Quaid mentioned that it surpasses even the wildest moments from previous seasons. 

According to Quaid, the writers have outdone themselves by adding more depth to the characters. He described the material written for these characters as “unbelievable.” Additionally, Quaid noted that the exceptional material for his character, Hughie Campbell, is another reason this season is his personal favorite.

The actor further explained how certain segments from the season made him gasp out loud when the scope of actual filming was not required to make up his mind that season 4 was going to be wild.

During his chat with Collider, Jack Quaid was asked if his preference for season 4 stemmed from reading the script or filming it. Quaid candidly replied that realizing The Boys season 4 would surpass previous seasons did not require extra effort; reading the script was enough. Reflecting on his experience over the four installments, Quaid noted that it is hard to surprise him since he has seen it all. 

Somehow still, parts of the script made him gulp, and that is right when he knew this season would outshine the others. When the first trailer for the fourth season dropped last year, all eyes were on the return of Anthony Starr, Karl Urban, and Jack Quaid. Quaid's convincing hints have only heightened the anticipation, leading fans to heed his advice ahead of the release: “brace yourselves at all times.”
