He praised the show’s writers for making this season the standout by discovering “new beats” and avoiding repetition. Reflecting on the sheer craziness of this season, Quaid mentioned that it surpasses even the wildest moments from previous seasons.
According to Quaid, the writers have outdone themselves by adding more depth to the characters. He described the material written for these characters as “unbelievable.” Additionally, Quaid noted that the exceptional material for his character, Hughie Campbell, is another reason this season is his personal favorite.
The actor further explained how certain segments from the season made him gasp out loud when the scope of actual filming was not required to make up his mind that season 4 was going to be wild.

When the first trailer for the fourth season dropped last year, all eyes were on the return of Anthony Starr, Karl Urban, and Jack Quaid. Quaid's convincing hints have only heightened the anticipation, leading fans to heed his advice ahead of the release: “brace yourselves at all times.”
