In November 2003, the entire cast of Friends did their first farewell interview with Oprah Winfrey, where she also revealed her favorite “French moment” from the show. During the conversation, Jennifer Aniston talked about the bonds she created during her time on the show. While talking about Matt LeBlanc, who played Joey Tribbiani, her eyes filled with tears. She said he has always been “the best big brother” to her and then joked, “you are older than me”.
The 54-year-old revealed the actor made her feel “protected” and was the person who could read her a bedtime story. To put it simply, she easily relied on him and could always talk to him about her problems. According to her, the Emmy-nominated star always figured out if something wrong was going on and used to call her to sit and talk.
To her, LeBlanc was one of her closest and most loving friends who stood by her during the thick and thin phases of life. This journey for both the actors was quite amazing because they came a long way from the day they first time. Do you know Aniston was afraid of LeBlanc at the beginning of the series?

Back in 1995, Jennifer Aniston sat down with People Magazine to talk about her new experience on the show. In the interview, she also shared her first impression of her costar Matt Leblanc. The Murder Mystery star stated she considered him “muy macho,” kind of guy and was scared of him. However, with time, they got to know each other and formed an inevitable bond for life.
“He thinks it’s very funny now. And actually, he can sit down and comfort me just like Courteney or Lisa could,” she added. Well, the exact reason behind her feeling alarmed by his presence was not revealed. But in the end, these two almost became like siblings in real life, showing up at the best and worst times.
