In the entertainment industry, one thing is certain – there is no constant. The ever-changing landscape of Hollywood acts as one giant loom that forever keeps spinning new threads. Ushering in such a competitive space is a feat on its own. Among the few to have achieved such heights, Henry Cavill is generously humble. As Thanksgiving week passes by, fans are reminded of when times were simpler as the British actor took to Instagram to share a private celebration with his dog.

This was at a time when he was not even cast as Geralt for Netflix’s The Witcher. However, Cavill had already demoed vibes that were pointing to it.

Contrary to popular belief, the 40-year-old actor is one who keeps mostly to himself. An avid gamer, the actor is famous for flexing his knowledge of video games on the sets of The Witcher. However, back in 2017 Thanksgiving, times were much simpler. The actor still had an active job as Superman with DCEU’s Joss Whedon’s Justice League fresh out of the oven. A throwback Instagram photo of the actor laying out a whole raw chicken meal for American Akita, Kal, was a perfect summary of his idyllic life.

Captioning his post while admitting that a whole turkey “might have been a bit much” for Kal, the treat awaited his friend atop a Justice League embossed black box. Cavill also laid out a word of caution – “Kids…don’t eat raw chicken.” As per public knowledge, the star has owned two dogs. One of them, Meat, passed away in early April this year. Meanwhile, Akita is still by his side as he makes his way further in 2023 after the loss of fan-favorite roles of Superman as well as Geralt.

Henry Cavill has had enough of the twist of the fates. It stands undeniable that the actor is most suited for action thanks to his staggering physique and commanding presence. Along the lines of Justice League, the star had taken up his first major negative role opposite Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible: Fallout. The solid acting made the road ahead clear for him to star in more spy thrillers, and that is exactly what is shaping up to be.

The actor will land alongside Dua Lipa and a debatable hairstyle on 2nd February 2024 with Argylle. The spy thriller stands to be followed by another, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, also in 2024. Apart from these two outings, a collaboration with his girlfriend, Natalie Viscuso for Warhammer 40K is also in the works. Finally, another franchise starter with a Highlander reboot is also on the cards. Thus, by the next Thanksgiving, Cavill will be back in action.
