“That remains his recurring lament”- Arnold Schwarzenegger Wanted to Fulfill This Wish in His Lifetime
Arnold Schwarzenegger, 75, has seen the blues and greens, and yellows of life. Spending over three decades in the industry as an A-list actor, having not one or two but seven Mr. Olympia titles under his belt; the Austrian actor has achieved everything anyone in the industry would desire for. However, these are not the only achievements under his forte. Schwarzenegger was also a respectable governor of California between 2003 and 2011. However, it seems like his pursuits do not stop here.
Journalist Mark Leibovich last month reported via The Atlantic that the 75-year-old actor and former politician recently expressed his wish to run for the upcoming presidential election. The journalist further wrote, “That remains his recurring lament. Entering the Mr. Universe of political campaigns would have been the logical last rung of his life’s quest for something bigger. Schwarzenegger said he thinks he could win.”
Notably, the Terminator actor also voiced his wish and regret that, although he wished to conduct the presidential run, the constitution hinders him from doing so. According to the Constitution, anyone born outside America cannot run the elections or stand for a position. Had he not been an Austrian, fans would certainly get to see him as a potential contender.

Fans must note that even though he cannot fulfill his wish because of legal reasons, Time magazine’s one of the 100 most influential people of 2004 and 2007 has never backed off from vocalizing truly reforming things.

Even if he cannot run for the presidential elections in the USA, Arnold Schwarzenegger has proved his merit as a politician
Defeating Garry Davis on October 7, 2003, Schwarzenegger joined the office in the month of November as a member of the Republican party. He not only worked to overcome the budget deadlock, but also promoted the legalization of same-sex marriage. Furthermore, the Austrian actor has never shied away from expressing his love and concern for the environment.
Even during his time as the governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger tried to address numerous environmental issues, such as global warming. Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006 for the reduction of Green House Gas emissions is perhaps his most notable work. All in all, Schwarzenegger during his tenure has done an absolutely beautiful job.
