Wendell Pierce and Meghan Markle portrayed the reel-life father and daughter in the legal drama Suits - Robert and Rachel Zane. In a recent interview with E! News, the actor shared insights into the advice he gave Meghan Markle as she transitioned from the acting world to becoming a Duchess. Before her engagement to Prince Harry, Pierce cautioned Markle that her “life is going to be a whirlwind” and that she would be in a “bubble”.

Pierce, however, reassured the Duchess that come what may, she will always have her allies, and she can count her on-screen dad among them. The actor also received an invitation to the royal wedding in 2018, but could not attend due to scheduling conflicts. Nevertheless, he and Markle did reunite after she relocated to the United States, crossing paths at "a public function". Earlier this year, the actor also divulged one thing that Markle is allegedly keen to pursue now that she has departed from her royal life.

Wendell Pierce hinted at something that Meghan Markle’s fans have been eagerly anticipating for years - her comeback to familiar grounds.

Following the revival of Suits, there was a clamor from fans for Meghan Markle to make a comeback to acting. In his March interview on Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?, Wendell Pierce revealed that one thing that bothers him is that Markle “would love to act again” but she has yet to make her return. And not just that, Markle has also been conspicuously absent from all the Suits reunion events, strongly suggesting that her return to the acting world is highly unlikely. 

The Duchess, however, is staging her comeback as a lifestyle queen with her new venture, American Riviera Orchard, which has already garnered over 500k followers. While it remains uncertain whether Markle will ever return to the world of lights, camera, and action, she is dedicated to cultivating her brand following her departure from the royal sphere. And with the support of industry friends, such as Wendell Pierce himself, she could truly elevate her brand's marketing efforts.
