It is time for the internet to brace itself for a new ship! Jamie Campbell Bower and Glen Powell are easily counted among the biggest heartthrobs in Hollywood today. While one managed to melt hearts even as the ghastly, vine-covered Vecna in Stranger Things, the other became an obvious choice for PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive title this year after turning on his charm in Anyone But You and Hit Man. But who would have guessed these two would have a crossover, and in such a wildly unexpected way?

An X user named Sofia, who claimed to have recently worked with Glen Powell, shared a tweet, saying, “everytime I came by to refill his coffee he looked me in the eyes to say thank u”. Jamie Campbell Bower retweeted with- "I would have c–”.  He also added a link to a meme in his tweet, that read, "I don't really care if something good happened to you. It should have happened to me instead". This was all the more surprising considering that Bower and Powell rarely cross paths, at least not on camera, except for that one brief moment over a decade ago. 

Jamie Campbell Bower, who was rumored to be dating Lily Collins many years back, showed up at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2012 to support the actress’ film Stuck in Love, which also starred Glen Powell. That was the only time the media caught Bower and Powell together. Yet, they are no Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman of Hollywood- who would unabashedly flaunt their chemistry both on and off screen- and so fans were taken aback by Bower’s naughty confession about Powell.

Fans took to X, their jaws collectively dropping, as they processed the bizarre tweet from Jamie Campbell Bower. 

The mere ping of Jamie Campbell Bower’s tweet was enough to send shockwaves rippling throughout the Twitterverse. Comments quickly flooded in, with fans saying things like, “This was a wild notification to receive” and “a very eye-opening notification to see on my phone”. Some even wondered if Bower’s account had been compromised, questioning, "Jamie, was your account hacked again?"

“Thanks for the jumpscare," one fan joked, and it seems even Bower’s on-screen alter ego, Vecna did not spook the audience as much as this one tweet did. Meanwhile, others found it downright hilarious, with comments like, "I’m actually crying, this is so funny" and "This was a fun way to start the day". Despite the surprise, fans could relate to Bower’s crush on Glen Powell, for obvious reasons.
