Arnold Schwarzenegger does not shy away from sharing his success. The 75-year-old actor is active as ever, after enjoying fame for decades in the industry. The world first saw the mighty icon of Hercules in New York, and just continued to want more of him over time. He even refused to retire while grabbing lead roles and expanding to OTT platforms.

Netflix became the first such platform where he decided to play the main protagonist in FUBAR. The series was recently released on the site after weeks of advertising and it has certainly paid off. Schwarzenegger has taken to social media as well to share his appreciation for the show.

Arnold Schwarzenegger shows gratitude as Netflix’s Fubar tops charts

The competition for top charts is fierce on OTT platforms, especially with shows getting canceled left and right. But the eternally classic Arnold Schwarzenegger has managed to not only land a show, but top charts with it. The Austrian Oak recently took to Instagram to share his success with his 24.4 million followers.

He shared an article that revealed how the comedy thriller is ranked at no.1 on streaming charts. “Thank you all for making FUBAR a huge hit,” he captioned. But the Mr Olympia champion also revealed how he cannot wait for season 2, hinting at the possibility of a second season. 

The show’s viewership has managed to top Netflix and other platforms since the last month. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it has a viewer rating of about 1.53 billion viewing minutes. These numbers were achieved despite it not being among the biggest or most trending shows on the OTT giant. Regardless, it managed to beat competitors like Succession, SWAT, CITADEL, Ted Lasso, etc.

Schwarzenegger is known for being an action hero, but the former Governor of California has surprised with his ability to do comedy with FUBAR.

So what is FUBAR all about?

FUBAR revolves around a retired FBI agent named Luke Brunner, who jumps back to duty upon realizing that his daughter works with the organization as well. They do not initially get along, but work priorities force them to go on adventures together. The hilarious script adds lightness to the action series showing off the unique father-daughter chemistry. 

It casts Monica Barbaro, Milan Carter, Gabriel Luna, etc., along with Schwarzenegger. The first episode was released on 25th May, with eight episodes of around 45-60 minutes. Now Netflix is known for canceling even successful shows. But with a heavyweight like this actor in the cast, it would seem that the show is set to be produced for another action and fun-filled season.
