In one unexpected moment in the 1958 Golden Globes, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr. decided to bring their own twist to the event. They took to the stage with whiskey and cigarettes in their hands as they spontaneously took over the stage, presenting the awards in a chill, laid-back style.

The iconic Rat Pack trio's playful disruption did not cause much of a scene but turned the formal event into a lively spectacle that stays marked in the history of the Golden Globes.

Jack Nicholson

When Jack Nicholson stepped up to the Golden Globes stage in 2003, to accept the Best Actor in a Drama award for his work in About Schmidt, he probably did not know what a memorable moment he was going to make. Following his acceptance of the award Nicholson gave one of the evening's most fun speeches as he jokingly said that he thought the film was a comedy and expressed surprise at his win. That was not all, as he was thanking his colleagues, he paused mid-speech to candidly say that he had taken a V--ium that night and simply continued with his speech.

Quentin Tarantino

A funny moment at the 2013 Golden Globes caught Director Quentin Tarantino off-guard on camera, causing laughter. When the Best Director nominees were being announced, the camera correctly caught Quentin Tarantino. Tarantino had a classic spit take when his name was read, and champagne flew out of his mouth. This fun and candid moment quickly became a memorable one in the ceremony.

Matt Damon

Back in 1998, when the dynamic duo Matt Damon and Ben Affleck won Best Screenplay for Good Will Hunting at the Golden Globes, they stood as the stars of the year. However, they could not resist having brief moments of fun back in the wings. Reports suggest that both tipsy actors playfully flirted with Elizabeth Hurley, who was also enjoying a few drinks.

Sofia Vergara

The gorgeous Sofia Vergara stole the Golden Globes, 2014 show after the party, in a shimmering metallic bodycon dress. Vergara danced the night away! After the Globes, she joked that she was too intoxicated to take a photo but was still dancing the night away at the HBO after-party.

Walter Matthau

At the 1973 Golden Globes, Walter Matthau stepped out on stage to present an award, when he jokingly quipped, "If everybody seems to be acting peculiar, it's because we haven't eaten yet — and all there is on the table is booze." Matthau's candid comment brought out the laughs and lightened the event's atmosphere. It also pointed to an admission of the drunkenness of stars during the Golden Globes.

Jacqueline Bisset

At the 2014 Golden Globes, Jacqueline Bisset received the award for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Movie or Miniseries for her role in Dancing on the Edge, and her speech was all over the news. Approaching the stage, Jacqueline Bisset seemed overwhelmed by the honor. At the podium, her acceptance speech turned out to be one of the most haywire moments in Golden Globe history as she went on and on rambling unfiltered.

Emma Thompson

Emma Thompson became another one of the most memorable presenters at the Golden Globe Awards 2014 when she presented an award barefooted. She was holding onto her heels in one hand and her cocktail in the other as she trotted onto the stage to present the award.

Brendan and Mary Gleeson

At the 2012 Golden Globe Awards, the light was shining on the nominated actors. Among them was Brendan Gleeson who attended the after-party with his wife, Mary Gleeson. As the evening progressed and the festivities continued, a scene unfolded where several men assisted Mary Gleeson in leaving the venue, which became quite the highlight of the evening.

Ben Affleck

The ever-so-charming Ben Affleck was bubbly throughout the 1998 Golden Globes, especially after winning Best Screenplay alongside Matt Damon. So much so, that aided by the abundance of booze and the support of his friend, the actor reportedly had a flirty exchange with Elizabeth Hurley. The cherry on top being, Matt Damon trying to shoot the same shot.
