Heat, sweat, and a whole lot of spice—Hollywood's finest have faced their greatest test when stepping into the fiery Hot Ones' kitchen. One moment, they are cracking jokes, and the next, they are reaching for the milk-abandoning their quest for the coveted Hot Ones crown. Be it the burn of the sauce, the pressure of the challenge, or sheer panic, these celebrities did not last long in the heat. 

Some stars, after a few bites, quickly discover that there is a line between spice and full-on meltdown. From spilling their secrets to hilariously tapping out early, they are proof that not every star can handle the heat.

British comedian Ricky Gervais, known for his sharp wit and fearless humor, met his match on the popular YouTube series Hot Ones. Gervais, opting for vegan wings, started cool and confident, with discussions about his character David Brent, his atheism, and his stance on Brexit. But, of course, the heat changed all that, and it did not end too well for Gervais.

 By the eighth wing, the fiery sauces took their toll, and Gervais decided to bow out before completing all ten wings. Even though he bailed early, Gervais is still one of the most popular episodes, with him managing to keep it light and funny even when facing the impossible spice.

Hip-hop icon E-40, known for his smooth rhymes and cool demeanor, faced a surprise battle during his recent appearance on Hot Ones. The rapper took on the fiery wing basket in front of a live audience, adding extra pressure to the already daunting task. As the heat intensified,  E-40's cool head could be seen wavering. 

At one point, feeling overwhelmed by the spiciness, he humorously turned to a fan in the crowd, pleading for assistance. Despite cheering from the crowd, the hotness was just too much to handle. E-40 opted out before he could finish the ten wings of the challenge and joined the league of celebrities who could not make it.

In March 2015, rapper Tony Yayo went on as the first celebrity guest on the YouTube series Hot Ones, which has since gained fame for celebrities answering questions while eating increasingly spicy chicken wings. As the wings got hotter and hotter, he lost his cool. He also, unfortunately, ended up being the first in line of the celebrity guests to tap out before finishing the challenge.

Rising rap sensation Ice Spice, celebrated for hits like 'Munch' and her collaboration on 'Karma' with Taylor Swift, recently faced the fiery challenge in Hot Ones last year. Boasting her bravado in the Bronx, she started out confident, stating her love for spicy food, but as the spice levels began to climb, she began to crumble. 

Upon reaching the infamous eighth wing, doused in Da Bomb: Beyond Insanity sauce, she exclaimed, "Bro, my mouth is on fire. Breathing makes it worse". Ultimately, Ice Spice decided to bow out, stating, "I'm not gonna do that to my throat," a sentiment shared by fellow early quitters DJ Khaled and Shaq. 

During the Thanksgiving edition of Hot Ones, renowned chef Mario Batali confidently faced the infamous fiery wings, sharing his culinary insights and holiday traditions. However, as the hot wings piled on, Batali's composure fell, leading him to bow out after the eighth wing. Reportedly, soon after this show appearance, numerous women accused Batali of sexual misconduct, prompting Batali to step away from his restaurant and also led to the removal of his Hot Ones episode from circulation.

Shaquille O'Neal, the NBA legend and former Miami Heat player, faced Hot Ones with his signature confidence. Determined to maintain his composure, Shaq vowed not to make a face. But, despite his best efforts to keep a straight face, the sizzling hot sauces elicited hilarious animated expressions from the basketball legend, much to the delight of the viewers making Shaq's episode from the show a fan favorite to date. 

Comedian Mike Epps, known for his role in Uncle Buck, was the guest star in Season 2 of Hot Ones. At first, he was quite confident, declaring, "My name's chicken wing," but he soon found out that the heat was no joke. As the wings became spicier, he struggled to maintain his composure, humorously questioning, "Are these supposed to be hot?" but by the seventh wing, it just got too much for him, and just like that he was done with the challenge. 

Bad Bunny's appearance on Hot Ones became a popular moment when the superstar tapped out before finishing the challenge. Famous for his cool demeanor, Bad Bunny started to crack as the heat escalated, worrying about what was going to happen in his body, “It’s going to f--- up my intestines,” he joked.

By the time he got to the infamous Da Bomb sauce, his nerves were getting the better of him, and he decided to quit early, fearing he would spend the whole trip home in the bathroom. His exit puts him in a group of celebs like Ricky Gervais and DJ Khaled who could not handle the heat of the show's spiciest wings. Even though he bowed out, his candid reactions gave fans relatable, hilarious moments!

When Taraji P. Henson appeared on Hot Ones, she brought her signature charm and a glass of Crown Royal on ice. As the wings got spicier, her confidence started wavering. Anticipating her nervousness, she jokingly reported saying she was going to tap out. True to her word, the heat became overwhelming, and she, in a humorous turn of events, called in her bodyguard, Dave, to step in as her stunt double. 

Dave took on the remaining wings without breaking a sweat, while Taraji watched, sipping her whiskey. Her funny approach and candid comments throughout the show made for one hilariously exciting episode. 

DJ Khaled's appearance on Hot Ones became legendary for all the wrong reasons when he tapped out after just three wings. Having talked a big game before the challenge, he quickly started feeling the heat. Khaled tried to power through, trying his best but ultimately gave up admitted, “We can’t hurt our health” and decided to bow out. His early exit left fans disappointed. Even fellow celebrities, like Lewis Capaldi, poked fun at Khaled’s quick exit, making this one of the most memorable episodes. 

Spicy Wings may seem like a fun challenge, but as these Hollywood stars learned, Hot Ones is no joke. From rap legends to A-list actors, this heat has humbled even the biggest names. Some tried to push through, while others threw in the towel after just a few bites. But hey, at least their reactions made for some unforgettable moments!
