Taylor Swift Is Set to Give Greta Gerwig’s $1,380,000,000 ‘Barbie’ a Run for Its Money With Her Concert Film
From fighting for her own music to re-recording and singing it on a world tour that is set to be one of the most successful ever, Taylor Swift has written history with The Eras Tour. Swifties from all around the world sold limbs and fought tooth and neck to find themselves a spot amidst the celebrity-clad audience. This resulted in Taylor Swift’s tour shouldering the burden of the US Economy as it was reported to have given it a $5 billion boost. But Swift was not the only superhero without a cape supporting the US’ falling economy as Greta Gerwig’s Barbie too got to business.
The combined effect of The Eras Tour and Barbie helped in boosting the US Economy. However, once a team, Taylor Swift is now tying her laces to give the Oscar winner’s magnum opus a run for its movie as she steps into the theaters.

Through pictures of her struggling to keep the numerous Grammys, she was awarded and her songs still charting at the top of music charts years after their release, and of course, towns being named after her, it is clear that Taylor Swift runs the music world. But her power may not be restricted to music anymore as she is set to release her Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour concert film on the 13th of October. As per sources of The Hollywood Reporter, the singer is looking at an opening day collection of around $100M. A mile away from Barbie‘s $70.5M domestic collection on the first day.
Just how phenomenal the concert film is anticipated to be is clear as cinema owners were falling atop of each other in order to acquire the rights. However, only the best, which in this case happens to be AMC Theatres, won.
While her surpassing the Barbie opening day numbers is a very likely prediction, Taylor Swift’s unreleased concert film has already broken a few records.

With every celebrity from Selena Gomez to Sydney Sweeney attending The Eras Tour and calling it the best night of their life, it is hard to tell who is not a part of the Swift squad. It is unclear, however, whether Tom Holland was a part of it. But Taylor Swift did not hesitate before she took the crown of the most presales in twenty-four hours with her upcoming movie from Holland. The actor was presented the presale crown for Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021.
If the opening day is also welcomed with the same excitement that fans displayed for the presales, then Taylor Swift is on her way to breaking yet another record. Not just Barbie but if the $100 opening day collection sticks then the singer would have left behind Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, and even Michael Jackson, among others.
