And having become made aware of the growing influence, celebrities tread carefully the line of partnership, with awareness and sensitivity. Sydney Sweeney's shake-of-hands with Frankies Bikinis, is one such relationship, or partnership, that marked yet another pop-culture shift.  

Well-known for her more than apparent roles in Euphoria and The White Lotus, her collaboration with the Lose Angles-based swimwear brand proves the massiveness of her influence off-screen.

Traces of transpiring were spotted as early on as the actress's appearance on the screens of Euphoria. In one scene, as memorable as it gets, Sydney Sweeney's character Cassie Howard is seen clad in a hot-pink Gemma one-piece, happening to be a craft by none other than Frankies Bikinis. And the push came to shove, resulting in the creative fusion between the Emmy-nominated actress and the popular beachwear brand, marking the beginning of a beautiful alliance that would soon become one of the most anticipated fashion events of 2023. 

With the collection titled Love Letters by Sydney Sweeney, the collaboration was indeed everything. The collection is deeply rooted in Sweeney's own personal favorite of a city with love, Italy. Design featuring intricate details such as embroideries, laces and beadings, ruffles, and jacquards, all delicately stirred together to create pieces graced with elegance and sensuality in each. The most unique touch, or the signature motif of the collaboration had been the kiss print motif, for Sweeney had used her own lips, adding not only a unique and personal touch to the pieces but also creating a one-of-a-kind symbol of romance and play. 

Sweeney, being known for her habit of collecting the oddest things for a hobby, had another inspiration at work for this collaboration, one a little more intrinsic to her life. Being brought up by the water, where she often wore bikinis while swimming or skiing, it was only a thoughtless decision for Sweeney to create a line that coincided with the confidence that the habit had built in her. She wished to create a line that truly felt like her, reflecting both, her love for the ocean, and her desire to empower women through fashion.

The campaign for the collection was  in Rome by photographer Sonia Szóstak, capturing the essence of Italian romance and Sweeney's stunning presence in the swimwear pieces. The first drop of the collection was released on March 14, 2023, with a second drop following in early April. The launch was highly anticipated, with fashion enthusiasts eagerly awaiting the chance to own pieces from this collection.  

Sweeney's outward involvement during the collaboration's design process had also ensured that each piece was not just aesthetically pleasing, but also designed to make the wearer feel confident and free in their body. The cherry bikini pieces in particular, had been the most highlighted, and favorited amongst fans, making it even more special after being both Sweeney's and Frankies Bikinis founder, Francesca Aiello's favorites, as revealed by the actress in her interview in Elle about the partnership.
