Sydney Sweeney recently hit Instagram with a one-two punch of special snapshots as she finished filming the biopic. The first shows the reel and real Christy Martins striking a pose by a car, while the second lands a knockout with a boxing glove signed by the real Martin, thanking Sweeney, and hoping she keeps “punching.” Calling the experience her “most emotional,” and “transformative” journey of all time, Sweeney recalled watching Martin cheer the crew on the set, which almost made her cry.

While she thanked every cast-mate, and person involved in materializing the project, the actor seized the moment to remind the fans that this story is way bigger than merely a film. “It’s a testament to resilience, survival, and finding the strength to keep fighting,” Sweeney wrote. Though she says she cannot wait for the audience to see it all, it is the other way around in reality, having witnessed Sweeney pull out all stops to bring life to Martin’s story.
