Additionally, the movie will drop in theaters on March 22 of this very year.

The movie’s plot follows Sweeney as Cecilia. Starring as a devoutly religious woman, her warm welcome to the Italian countryside in a prestigious convent soon starts to turn sour. A string of events foretell dark and unexplored sinister secrets forming beneath and through the very halls, she walks upon. In a spine-chilling tale, the flick has the actress take to her first major horror role on the big screens.

Captioning the post as “The Father. The Son. The Sydney Sweeney,” Neon Productions swiftly amped up its promotion after recently acquiring the movie. Directed by The Voyeurs’ Michael Mohan and written by Andrew Lobel, the movie will also land the actress closer to a familial working environment. Along with Sweeney’s reunion with the filmmaker, the horror tone of the movie will also find elements of psychological thrill, typical of her famed outings.

The movie’s release times found a coincidental streak for the actress while expanding on her recent successes in Hollywood.

The 22 March release date of Immaculate will come nearly just a month after the Sydney Sweeney and Dakota Johnson starrer Madame Web. Additionally, the back-to-back releases will mark her ushering in two new genres on theatrical screens. In Sony’s spider-verse flick, The White Lotus star will have the honor of essaying the first-ever live-action adaptation of Spider-Woman aka Julia Carpenter. Debuting in her first comic suit, the actress has already garnered enough excitement following its trailer release.

Immaculate will prepare Sydney Sweeney for another round of success. With Anyone But You amassing $100.7 million and still following a staggered release pattern, the young talent stands well-footed in her Hollywood inroads.
