Sydney Sweeney may have passed on a few projects because of returning to Euphoria, but it had no shortcomings on her topping the director’s most-wanted list. If anything, Euphoria opened the floodgates of every new avenue Sweeney set her eyes on, highlighting her range as an actor. Throughout the series, Cassie Howard’s storyline explores the themes of body image, self-esteem, and intimacy, whereby on-screen nudity takes a crucial standpoint. However, speaking of these suggestive scenes, Sweeney recently spoke about Jude Law’s part in Eden

Sweeney has stressed the importance of body positivity well before, but focused on Law, she just enhanced its credibility for storytelling.

In a recent conversation with Vanity Fair, Sydney Sweeney looked back and forward to every project she had and will be part of. The outlet asked Sweeney about Jude Law’s sensual scenes in Eden, to prompt her perspective on whether she still believes on-screen nudity by men garners different reactions as opposed to women. The actor believes Eden has yet to be received by its intended audience, so she is still uncertain how it will come out ultimately.

As for Law’s showing some skin in the movie, the actor only has praise and support for the “powerful move” he chose to do. Sweeney recalled cheering for Law, and emphasized she would remain supportive of “nudity, sexual scenes, if the story of the character warrants it.” She does not really care if it is men or women as long as it is for the character and the story.

Which filmmaker chose to portray Sydney Sweeney without any graphic content?

Sydney Sweeney has made headlines for several Hollywood projects in the last few years, but the most acclaimed one remains Euphoria. The series was known for its excessively suggestive scenes, among other things. Although stereotypical remarks and backlash came complementary, Michael Mohan, the director of Immaculate, did not want to be the guy known for making “movies where Sydney gets n--ed,” according to his statement to the LA Times.

The director apparently knew the kind of speculations that would ensue regarding the project. But he intentionally chose not to fan those flames. Though the choice was of the director’s, it takes one back to Sweeney’s belief that nudity is okay if the story or the character warrants it. Perhaps all Immaculate wanted was her standout acting chops, and she certainly delivered on that.
