Sydney Sweeney Starrer ‘Anyone but You’ Brings Yet Another Promotional Video Ahead of Its Release
The release of Sydney Sweeney‘s film, Anyone But You, is just around the corner. The movie will become another chapter in Hollywood’s haters-to-lovers trope in romantic comedies. Loosely based on Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, the film co-stars Glen Powell alongside the Euphoria sensation with a 22nd December release. Just weeks away from release, the movie brought forth another promotional video, featuring the star cast in the land down under.
This promotional video, set against the backdrop of an 80s song, further hinted at the postponement of the movie for a few more days.

Anyone But You’s official Instagram account reposted on their stories the promotional video, originally shared by Hannah Godwin. In the clip, Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell were spotted having a blast on the beaches of Australia. The video was set to the melodious backdrop of ‘Almost Paradise… Love Theme from Footloose’ by Mike Reno of Loverboy and Ann Wilson of Heart. This song was also the opening theme for the reality show Bachelor in Paradise, featuring Godwin.
The video had a caption stating the movie’s theatrical release will be on Christmas Day, i.e., the 25th of December. However, there has not been any announcement of the delay from the makers. Therefore, there is a chance that the video meant the movie would hit the screens on its scheduled date and continue its theatrical run during the Christmas holidays.
Notably, this promotional video came just three days after Sweeney shared a vlog of exploring the city of Sydney on a bus with her co-stars.

Australia was the primary location of Anyone But You which was apparently a perfect “place to put a nightmare and an asshole”, as per Glen Powell. Ever since the movie’s filming, Sweeney has fallen in love with the continent and even called Australia her home. Recently, the official Anyone But You page shared a video featuring Sweeney and her co-stars wearing the “Sydney in Sydney” t-shirts and touring the city on a bus.
The fact that the city and the Euphoria actress shared the same name, fueled excitement in Sweeney. Even Powell hilariously commented on the vlog that “Sydney in Sydney is gonna be said at least a thousand times today”. With the cast vibing in Australia, the hope is that the movie vibes too, whether it comes out on the 22nd or the 25th.
