After taking over the world last year with her rom-com, Anyone But You, Sydney Sweeney switched her focus to being a superhero in the Spider-Verse with her film, Madame Web. However, the film did not fare too well in theatres after its Valentine’s Day premiere earlier this year. Although the movie ended up receiving not-so-great reviews, that has not seemed to scare the 26-year-old from returning to the Marvel universe.

While her co-star, Dakota Johnson, may not be interested in making a comeback, Sweeney quite liked the idea of sharing the screen with her Euphoria co-star, Zendaya.

Sydney Sweeney reveals hopes to star alongside Zendaya in the Spider-Verse

Recently, Sydney Sweeney has been on a hot streak with her films and projects. However, that streak came to a brief halt when Madame Web was released. Although the film had been hyped up for months, it failed to stun fans in the same way other Spider-Verse films did. Now, in a recent conversation with Comic Book, the 26-year-old actress jumped at the idea of returning to the Marvel world alongside Zendaya.

Sweeney revealed that she thought the two-star teaming up again outside of Euphoria would “be so cool.” However, nothing about them starring together has been confirmed. While it might be nice to see two fan favorites share the screen, fans might have to wait for some time before those dreams become a reality. Although it might be impossible to land a spinoff, the fourth Spider-Man film could be their chance for a crossover.

The crossover could happen, but it might take longer than fans expect. After all, there have been little to no updates about the anticipated project.

Could Sydney Sweeney star in Spider-Man 4?

In 2021, Marvel fans were thrown when Tom Holland’s No Way Home ended with him having to part ways with Zendaya. While everyone has been holding out to the hope that news of the project would make its way online, nothing has happened as of yet. Although the film might be in its developmental phases, it has been rumored that it could finally be released in 2025.

With all the surprise cameos from the last Spider-Man film, Sydney Sweeney might just manage to make her way into the film. However, an appearance in the movie could end up doing a lot more for the 26-year-old’s already jaw-dropping career in the Marvel universe than people realize.
