Sydney Sweeney Reveals the Major Reason She’s Looking Forward to Getting Back Home from Australia
Sydney Sweeney seems to be missing home. She has been in Australia for a while now, shooting her upcoming rom-com with Glen Powell. During her stay, she has been mixing fun and work, ensuring to add some sightseeing experiences when her schedule allows it. But home is, well, home and she can’t wait to return for a major reason that she revealed in a recent Instagram story update.
When Sweeney was first spotted on the outskirts of Sydney in a pink top and denim jeans, shooting for her upcoming Will Gluck flick, none of us expected she would be in the country for long. But that perception changed when weeks went by with more Australia updates from the actress. Soon we saw her going to amusement parks and soccer matches in her namesake city. While this may seem like the actress has taken a liking to Sydney, her latest Instagram story update shows how much she misses home and her dog, Tank.

In her latest story, Sweeney shared an adorable picture of her dog along with a note that read, “Can’t wait to see this goobers face soon ❤️.” After weeks in a foreign country with a grueling schedule, we are sure the actress misses home. And it seems Tank is one of the major reasons she can’t wait to return to her $3 million worth LA house.
Given the close bond she shares with Tank, it is not surprising the actress is missing her canine companion. Previously, Sydney Sweeney took her pet with her to the sets of her projects and, before that, to her school. One look at their journey together and it will make sense why Sweeney loves and misses her dog so much.

The 25-year-old always had an affinity towards animals, probably because of her great-grandmother, who loved rescuing dogs. Her childhood was also spent in the company of a German Shepard, who passed away when she was 13. Since then, she felt her family was incomplete without a dog, so when she met Tank at an animal shelter in Arizona at the age of 17, she thought to herself, “I’m gonna save this little thing.” And save she did.
Under her mother’s instructions, Tank was 100% her responsibility and Sweeney would take her everywhere, even to her school. While she did get caught eventually, her dog’s cuteness won over everyone and became an unofficial mascot of the school. With the years of bond they have shared, it is clear why her favorite calls are those with Tank and why the actress wants to return home to her.
